As 2023 draws to a close, manager Steve Evans has been reflecting on our season so far in the JD Cymru Premier.
“We ended last season on a real high and we took it into this season,” Evo said.
“It’s been difficult if I’m being honest. I think we’ve deserved more than what we’ve got at the moment – Our performances have been good overall and deserving of more points.
“But it’s a tough league, it’s. a step up and we knew it was going to be that. We’re starting to really find our feet.
“The last month we’ve proved we’re as good as anything in the league.
“You take TNS out of it, even the likes of Connah’s Quay – the second best team in the league by quite some way – and the two games against them we should have got something out of the games.
“It’s games like that I feel a little bit frustrated with because we did deserve more but that’s the reality of football – sometimes you don’t get what you deserve.
“We’ve got to keep working, keep believing in what we’re doing.
“We know the task in hand – we’ve got four big games now to really go and try get a gap between the bottom two and ourselves.
“We’ll be doing everything we can to do that and then it’s about building and really looking forward to he challenge that lies ahead when the split comes.
“I’m more than confident that we keep putting the performances that we have done of late then we’ll be just fine.”
