Colwyn Bay First Team
Mark Halstead – Goalkeeper with a wealth of experience in the English pyramid following notable spells
with Blackpool, Shrewsbury Town and Morecambe and Torquay United. Joined the Bay during the
summer of 2026 having featured for Radcliffe in the Northern Premier League last season
Seb Osment – Goalkeeper. Born in Shrewsbury and brought up in Powys, as a youngster Seb played for
Newtown, Welshpool and Guilsfield. The 21-year-old has also had spells with Hereford FC,
Wolverhampton Casuals and Alvechurch. He joined Aberystwyth Town in July 2024 and played six times
in the JD Cymru Premier, as well as making two appearances in Aber’s run to the Nathaniel MG Cup
final.
Dan Roberts – Defender. Born in Bodelwyddan and raised in the Colwyn Bay area, Dan joined the club
in the summer of 2026. He signed for Connah’s Quay Nomads in January 2023 having previously been a
part of the club’s scholarship programme back in 2017/18. Former clubs include Rhyl, Llandudno
Junction, Prestatyn Town and Flint Town United.
Lewis Sirrell – Defender who is in his second spell at the Bay having rejoined from Flint Town United in
the summer of 2024. He originally joined the Bay from Llandudno in the summer of 2020 and won the
Supporters’ Player of the Season award in 2022 and has been part of two Cymru North title wins with the
club.Lewis came through Middlesbrough’s Academy, playing for the Under-18s and Under-21s, before
going on loan to National League side Gateshead. He then signed for Swedish club Ostersunds FK on a
free transfer but relocated to North Wales in 2014. He had a few games for the Bay Reserves and spells
at Llandudno Junction and Denbigh Town prior to signing for Llandudno in 2019.
Nathan Peate – Defender. Nathan joined the Bay in the summer of 2025 from Bala Town, where he
spent five seasons and was captain. He made 145 appearances for the Lakesiders, scoring 21 goals and
he featured in five European campaigns with the club. He had joined Bala from Cefn Druids in the
summer of 2020, having been a member of the team that secured a Europa League spot in 2018. Nathan
spent four seasons with Druids and has also had spells at Llandudno and Denbigh Town.
Sol Forde – Defender. Sol joined the Bay from Flint Town United in the summer of 2024 and was a
member of the squad that won the Cymru North in 2025. For Flint he scored five goals in 29 league
appearances during the 2023/24 season and was named the Cymru North player of the month for April
and included in the Team of the Season. The locally based defender played as a junior for Penrhyn Bay
and Llandudno Junction and was at Llandudno and Chester Academies, the latter of which he was
named Academy Players’ Player of the Year in 2023.
Ryan Astles – Defender. Signed in January 2026, the 6’4” centre-back began his career at Tranmere
Rovers before moving on to have spells with Chester City, Wigan Athletic, Buckley, Rhyl and Southport
from whom he joined The New Saints in 2020/21. Having made his debut in the UEFA Europa League,
Astles established himself as a crucial player at Park Hall, helping guide TNS to several trophies and
their historic run in the UEFA Conference League.
Sam Hart – Defender. Club captain, Sam joined the Bay in the summer of 2022. Started his football
career as a youngster at Preston North End and has also had spells with Airbus and Bangor City. He
initially signed for the Bay from Airbus in 2019, but never got to play due to the Covid-19 pandemic
shut-down and moved on to Flint Town United who he helped reach the JD Cymru Premier play-off final.
He was voted Supporters Player of the Season in the Bay’s Cymru North title winning season of 2022/23
and was appointed captain at the start of the season following the retirement of Tom McCready.

Matty Hill – Midfielder. Matty returned to the Bay after spending the 2024/25 season with Caernarfon Town, where he was
part of the squad which competed in the Europa Conference League. The forward spent two seasons with the Seagulls in his
first spell after joining from Ruthin Town in the summer of 2022. He was top scorer in his first season with 17 goals from 34
appearances as Bay won the JD Cymru North title for the first time.
George Hughes – Midfielder. George rejoined the Bay from Newtown in the summer of 2025, having previously spent a
month on loan with the Seagulls during the 2017/18 season in the Evo-Stik League First Division North. He began his career
at Shrewsbury Town and also had loan spells with Clitheroe and Stalybridge Celtic as well as the Bay and Newtown. He
made his first team debut for Shrewsbury in the 2017/18 season before leaving to join Airbus UK in July 2019 and moved to
Newtown in the summer of 2020, where he spent five years
Aeron Edwards – Midfielder. A 10-time Cymru Premier winner and a Cymru C International, Aeron joined the Bay in the
summer of 2025 after two seasons with Bala Town. Aeron began his career with Brickfield Rangers and had spells at Buckley
Town and Caersws before a move to The New Saints in 2009. He spent 11 and a half years with Saints, winning the Cymru
Premier nine times as well as numerous Welsh Cup and Welsh League Cup triumphs. He also has vast European experience
from his time at Park Hall. Aeron joined Connah’s Quay Nomads in the summer of 2020 and during his first season on
Deeside won the Cymru Premier title, his 10th in total. He also won the Nathaniel MG Cup in 2022 in his three seasons with
Nomads.
Jack Kenny – Signed for the Bay during the summer of 2026 from Connah’s Quay Nomads. He had originally joined The
Nomads in May 2018 having previously played in the Cymru Premier at both Rhyl and Prestatyn Town. He has also previously
played at Caernarfon Town, Flint Town United, Cefn Druids, Alsager Town and Atherton Collieries. Was a member of the
Connah’s Quay side which won the JD Welsh Cup in 2024 and played alongside Mike Wilde and Jordan Davies.
Declan Poole – Midfielder Switched to the Bay in the summer of 2026 following his departure from Connah’s Quay Nomads,
where he had two spells. He played at Everton U18s, Wigan Athletic and Nantwich Town before joining Nomads in 2016/17.
He left the Deeside club in 2022 for a brief spell at Buxton but returned in 2023. During his time with Nomads he won two JD
Cymru Premier titles, two Nathaniel MG Cups, two JD Welsh Cup winners medals.
Ethan Roberts – Midfielder. Ethan joined during the summer of 2024 from Llandudno following an impressive season for the
Seasiders, where he was named both Players’ Player of the Season and the Supporters’ Player of the Season. A graduate of
Llandudno’s academy, He scored six goals in 36 games in all competitions last season, chipping in with six assists. Ethan
also featured for the Cymru North side in the Uefa Regions Cup play-off games against Cymru South
Callum Bratley – Midfielder. Signed from Connah’s Quay Nomads during the summer of 2026. Joined Nomads from Flint
Town United ahead of the 2022/23 season. Also played for Chester Under-18s, Christleton FC and Blacon. Was a Welsh Cup
winner with Nomads in 2024 and also played for the club in Europe
Adam Davies – Forward. Joined in the summer of 2026 from Caernarfon Town, where he spent three seasons and scored 36
goals in 108 appearances and last season helped the club win the Welsh Cup for the first time. At Airbus UK Broughton he
scored 28 goals in 25 games as the Wingmakers won the Cymru North title in 2022. Sponsored by Matchy.
Louis Robles – Forward. Louis came through the Liverpool Academy, where he spent eight years before moving to Wigan
Athletic where he made his senior debut in 2015. Loan moves at Macclesfield Town and Gloucester City followed and after
leaving Wigan he moved to the United States and represented Limestone Saints in college soccer. On his return to the UK he
made a solitary appearance for Bangor City in 2017 before spells in Spanish football with Atlético Baleares and San Roque
de Lepe. He joined Grimsby Town in June 2018 where he made five appearances before a return to San Roque de Lepe. Since
2019 he has played in the Cymru Premier for Bala Town, The New Saints and Newtown before rejoining the Lakesiders, where
he spent the 2024/25 season before joining the Bay.
Jordan Davies – Forward. Jordan joined the Bay from Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton in the summer of 2025.
A Wales Futsal and Cymru C international, Jordan started his career with Brickfield Rangers and was also part of Connah’s
Quay Nomads’ academy and won the Welsh Schools FA U19 Cup in 2015. He also had spells with Prestatyn Town, Nantwich
Town, Telford United and King’s Lynn Town before rejoining Nomads in 2021, for whom he played in the Champions League
qualifiers alongside Mike Wilde and Danny Harrison. Jordan joined Haverfordwest County on loan in January 2022, before
signing a two-year deal in May 2022.He spent 17 months at Bridge Meadow – scoring 20 goals in 45 league games – before a return to Connah’s Quay in June 2023 for his third spell at the club. After scoring 26 goals in all competitions and helping
Nomads win the JD Welsh Cup, he formalised a two-year deal with Greenock Morton in June 2024 and scored two goals in 34

Josh Williams – Midfielder. On loan at the Bay from Tranmere Rovers until January. Josh was previously with Connah’s Quay
Nomads. where he came through the academy and with whom he won the Welsh Cup in 2024 alongside Bay manager Mike
Wilde. Josh scored the winner that saw Nomads beat The New Saints 2-1 in the final ar Newport’s Rodney Parade. The Wales C International joined Tranmere Rovers in July 2024 and has made 84 senior appearances for the Prenton Park club and has also spent time on loan at Southport.
Alex Moore – Midfielder . Has rejoined the Bay on loan from Wrexham until January. Alex spent the second half of last
season at The Blue Turtle Arena and made 12 appearances. He signed his first professional contract with the Red Dragons
last summer after progressing through the Wrexham AFC Academy. He has since made appearances for Phil Parkinson’s
side this pre-season against Wisla Krakow and Man United, and also travelled with the First Team on their US Tour.
Alex Downes – Defender. Alex returned for a third spell at the club in the summer of 2025 having
previously made 107 appearances and scored 22 goals for the club, winning the Registered Supporters
Player of the Season in 2020 and 2024. He made his Bay debut during our time in the Evo-Stik League,
away to Trafford in October 2018, after initially coming on loan from Chester, prior to being signed in May
2019 after leaving Chester. The 25-year-old spent a couple of seasons at Runcorn Linnets during the
pandemic shut down in Wales but returned ahead of the 2022/23 season and helped win the JD Cymru
North title. He scored Bay’s first winner in the JD Cymru Premier, a header to seal a 1-0 victory at
Penybont, but left the club following relegation in order to continue in the top flight. Joining Bala Town he
made his debut for Colin Caton’s side in the Europa Conference League and scored three goals in 10 league appearances for the club before a serious knee injury ruled him out for the season and also played for the club in Europe.
