Rhys Williams

Rhys Williams (Goalkeeper)

Signed from Flint Town United in the summer of 2024 after helping the Silkmen secure promotion to the JD Cymru Premier last season having made a total of 29 appearances in all competitions. Rhy shad  joined Flint from Gresford Athletic in the summer of 2022. A former Wales Under-19 international, he has had spells with  Bury, Carlisle United and Colchester United. He has also spent time with Connah’s Quay Nomads, Airbus and Cefn Druids.

Rhys LloydRhys Lloyd (Goalkeeper)

Rhys joined the club on loan from Connah’s Quay Nomads on the eve of the 2024/25 season.  He has come through Nomads’ Academy and appeared for their Under 21 side in the FAW Reserve League North Tier 1+2.. Sponsored by Supporters Committee.

 

 

 

Joe Williams

Joe Williams (Defender)

A member of the Bay’s Cymru North title winning squad in 2023, the experienced defender returned having made 54 appearances in two seasons and also won  a WBS North League Cup winners medal before a switch to Flint in the summer of 2023, where he scored two goals in 24 games as The Silkmen secured promotion. Joe originally was signed by Craig Hogg in July 2021 following six seasons at Caernarfon Town, where he made 180 appearances and had won two Cymru Alliance titles with the Canaries in 2015/16 and 2017/18, before spending three campaigns with the club in the Cymru Premier. He was previously with Glan Conwy, Conwy Borough and Llandudno. Sponsored by Hill Johnstone Wealth Management.

 

Lewis Sirrell

Lewis Sirrell (Defender)

Lewis spent the second half of last season at Flint Town United having left the Bay in August 2023. He helped the club secure second spot and promotion. The central defender had originally joined the Bay from Llandudno in the summer of 2020 and won the Supporters’ Player of the Season award in 2022. He has made 61 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring nine goals. Lewis came through Middlesbrough’s Academy, playing for the Under-18s and Under-21s, before going on loan to National League side Gateshead. He then signed for Swedish club Ostersunds FK on a free transfer but relocated to North Wales in 2014. He had a few games for the Bay Reserves, under Chris Thompson, in the 2014/15 season and spells at Llandudno Junction and Denbigh Town rekindled his appetite for the game, prior to signing for Llandudno in 2019.  Sponsored by Donny Tictac in Memory of Glynny. 

 

Sol Forde

Sol Forde (Defender)

Sol spent last season at Flint Town United and helped the Silkmen secure a second place finish and promotion to the JD Cymru Premier. He scored five goals in 29 league appearances during the 2023/24 season and was named the Cymru North player of the month for April and included in the Team of the Season. The locally based defender played as a junior for Penrhyn Bay and Llandudno Junction and  was at Llandudno and Chester Academies, the latter of which he was named Academy Players’ Player of the Year in 2023. Lucas Gregson 1Lucas Gregson (Defender)

Lucas has joined the Bay on a season-long loan from Connah’s Quay Nomads. The centre-half has come through the ranks of Nomads’ Academy, establishing himself as a regular in the Under-18s. He made his senior Nomads debut last season, coming on as a substitute against Pontypridd United in the JD Cymru Premier. Sponsored by Specsavers.

 

 

 

Sam Hart 2

Sam Hart (Defender/Midfielder)

Sam joined the Bay in the summer of 2022 and in his first two seasons made a total of 61 appearances, scoring 9 goals. Sam started his football career as a youngster at Preston North End  and has also had spells with Airbus and Bangor City. He initially signed for the Bay from Airbus in 2019, but never got to play due to the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down and moved on to Flint Town United who he helped reach the JD Cymru Premier play-off final. He was voted Supporters Player of the Season in the Bay’s Cymru North title winning season of 2022/23 and was appointed captain at the start of the season following the retirement of Tom McCready. Sponsored by Susan Jenks.

 

Gutow

Guto Williams (Defender/Midfielder)

 Guto had joined the Seagulls in the summer of 2022 and was part of the squad which won the Cymru North title. He suffered a complete Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear and slight Meniscus damage in October 2023 and missed most of the Cymru Premier campaign. A former Ysgol y Creuddyn pupil, Guto was at Llandudno before joining Bangor City’s academy and progressed to the Citizens’ first team. His studies saw him move to Cardiff Met University at the start of the 2018/19 season. He was part of the Cardiff Met squad which won the Cymru Premier play-off against Bala in 2019 and was on the bench for their Europa League games against Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg. He returned to Llandudno for the 2021/22 season and scored two goals in 26 games in the JD Cymru North and was included in the team of the season.  Sponsored by Young Gulls – Thomas Davies and Ezra Eeles.

 

 Cai OwenCai Owen (Midfielder) 

Cai was signed from Rhyl in January 2020 and made his debut against Ruthin Town in the  curtailed 2019/20 season. Up to the start of the 2024/25 campaign, the versatile player has scored six goals in 96 appearances for the Seagulls in two spells in between a short stay at Caernarfon after the Cymru North season was cancelled due to Covid-19. During the Bay’s Cymru North title winning season in 2022/23 Cai won the JD Cymru North player of the month award for February 2023 after some impressive performances. He came through Bangor City’s academy, making his senior debut at 16 under Neville Powell, before moving to Llandudno. He then joined Rhyl on loan in 2018 before making a permanent move and being voted Supporters Player of the Year at the end of that season.  Sponsored by Hill Johnstone Wealth Management.

 

Tommy Creamer

Tom Creamer (Midfielder)

An exciting player who can score spectacular goals, Tom progressed through the ranks at Wrexham prior to his release and was a key part of Conwy’s treble winning side of 2017-18. He then had a successful spell at Rhyl before returning to his home town club Conwy. He joined Bay during the 2021/22 season and after coming back from injury he played in all but one of the 2022/23 season’s championship winning games, scoring 10 goals in the process. Scored Bay’s first ever goal in the JD Cymru Premier with a spectacular long range effort against Barry Town which was shortlisted for Sgorio’s Gopal of the Season award.  Sponsored by Signatures Restaurant, Conwy.

 

Jay Owen

Jay Owen (Midfielder)

Jay started at Chester, where he made seven Football League appearances and represented Wales at Under-17 level. He moved to Barrow in early 2010 and made 95 appearances over three seasons in the Conference. Was with Airbus between 2013 and 2016 before switching to Connah’s Quay Nomads, where he spent six seasons and made 160 appearances, winning the JD Cymru Premier, Welsh Cup and the Nathaniel MG League Cup. Although he joined hometown club Caernarfon Town in the summer of 2022, he was released from his contract to join Flint Town United and where he spent two seasons making 46 league appearances and captained the side before switching to the Bay in the summer of 2024.  Sponsored by ‘Gwylanod ar Daith’

 

Rhys Nash

Rhys Nash (Midfielder)

 Rhys joined the Bay in June 2024 from Mold Alexandra, a club he has played for since 2015 and for whom he was part of the side that won the FAW Amateur Trophy in 2022. Last season Rhys scored  two goals in 27 appearances in the JD Cymru North as Mold finished fourth and also captained Mold to success in the Welsh Blood Service Cup last season, with victory in the northern competition final against Llandudno and in the national final over Briton Ferry Llansawel, in which he scored one of the goals. Rhys came through the Airbus academy and was still a teenager when he made his senior debut for the club in the Cymru Premier in the 2010/11 season and also represented Welsh Under-18s Schools in the Centenary Shield. Sponsored by The Marine.

 

Will Mckinley

Will McKinley (Midfielder)

Will spent the second half of last season on loan at Prestatyn Town, and played 11 league games for The Seasiders in the Cymru North. Had made his senior Bay debut against Porthmadog in the WBS North League Cup final in April 2023 and also appeared in the National final against Barry Town United having also played for the Under-19s. Sponsored by Foster Care Values.

 

 

 

 Joel GiblinJoel Giblin (Midfielder)

Joel made his first team debut as a second half substitute at Holyhead during the 2022/23 season and since then has been part of the first team squad as well as the  Under-19 Development squad. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Cymru North side Ruthin Town and scored two goals in 14 league appearances. Sponsored by Angela Kirkham MBE  

 
 

Josh CareyJosh Carey (Midfielder)

Josh is a product of the Swansea City academy and progressed from the Swans’ Under-13 side to the Under-21s, signing his first professional contract in 2023. In March 2024 he was called up into Wales’ Under-19s for two games against Scotland. Made his Bay debut off the bench against Aberystwyth Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup and scored his first goal in the win over Holywell Town. Sponsored by Alan and Ann Moore.

 

 Kieran1Kieran Jones (Midfielder)

Another member of the Under 19s Development squad, Kieran has been involved with the Bay first team squad during the 2022/23 season and made his debut as part of a youthful side against Barry Town United in the WBS National League Cup final. He made 11 appearances in all competitions during a loan spell with Prestatyn Town last season.

Ethan RobertsEthan Roberts (Forward) 

Ethan joined during the summer of 2024 from Llandudno following an impressive season for the Seasiders, where he was named both Players’ Player of the Season and the Supporters’ Player of the Season. A graduate of Llandudno’s academy, HE scored six goals in 36 games in all competitions last season, chipping in with six assists. Ethan also featured for the Cymru North side in the Uefa Regions Cup play-off games against Cymru South at the end of last season.  Sponsored by Che Murphy @ OPS Wind.  

 

Ryan KehoeRyan Kehoe (Forward)

Ryan has vast experience in the Welsh leagues, including the Cymru Premier, and also in the English non-league pyramid.His previous clubs include Cefn Albion, Prestatyn Town, Runcorn Linnets, Llandudno, Aberystwyth Town, Marine, Bala Town, Airbus UK, Prescot Cables, Vauxhall Motors and Northwich Victoria.With Airbus he was a Welsh Premier League runner-up two times, as well as winning the Welsh Cup with Bala Town in 2017. Dan AtkinsDan Atkins (Forward)

Dan initially joined the Bay from Prestatyn Town during the January transfer window and featured in 10 games in all competitions during the second half of the season. Dan was the JD Cymru North Young Player of the Season for 2022/23 after with 22 goals in 28 appearances to finish joint top scorer in the division in what was his debut season for Prestatyn having also played for AFC Knowsley. Craig LindfieldCraig Lindfield (Forward)

Craig re-joined in the close season after spending last season at Airbus, where he scored 15 goals in 26 league appearances. During his first spell at the Bay he scored 12 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions and was a member of the JD Cymru North title winning side in 2023. Craig came through Liverpool’s academy and was twice an FA Youth Cup winner with the Anfield club in 2006 and 2007. After leaving Liverpool in 2009, he made more than 100 appearances in the Football League for Macclesfield Town and Accrington Stanley. The ex-England Under-19 international has also played for Chester, FC United of Manchester, Marine and Runcorn Linnets.

Lloyd Marsh HughesLloyd Marsh-Hughes (Forward)

Lloyd made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals last season having joined during the summer of 2023 from Caernarfon Town. He came through Chester’s Academy and made his first team debut against Curzon Ashton in the National League North in January 2019 before signing his first professional deal in April that year. He made 30 senior appearances for Chester and had loan spells with Marine and Runcorn Linnets before joining Caernarfon, initially on loan in September 2022, before making the move permanently.

Jamie CummingJamie Cumming (Forward)

Jamie joined the Bay from Ruthin Town in August 2022. A product of the Liverpool Academy he previously played for Brymbo and joined Ruthin in 2020, going on to score 14 goals for the club. He was also selected for the Cymru North representative squad. Injury hampered his first season with the Bay but Jamie made 33 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and chipping in with four assists.

Gwion DafyddGwion Dafydd (Forward)

Joined on a season long loan from Cymru Premier champions The New Saints during the close season. The forward came through Caernarfon Town’s academy and was 16 when he progressed to the first team. Gwion joined Saints in the summer of 2022 and scored eight goals in 14 league games during his first season at Park Hall and scored a further nine goals in 11 appearances for Saints in all competitions during the first half of last season. He returned to Caernarfon on loan for the second half of last season and was also capped by Cymru C as they beat England in March.

Mike WildeMike Wilde (Manager)

 Mike was appointed Bay manager in May 2024, his first managerial role after a distinguished playing career in the Cymru Premier with The New Saints, Flint Town United and Connah’s Quay Nomads. He is the Cymru Premier’s third highest top scorer of all time with 235 goals and has won nine Cymru Premier titles, the Welsh Cup six times and the League Cup on five occasions. He was Cymru Premier Player of the Season in 2012/13 and 2020/21. Mike originally joined TNS in 2002 from Poulton Victoria before moving to Fleetwood Town in 2009 before spells with Halifax Town and Chester. He returned to TNS in the summer of 2012, where he remained until 2016 when he switched to Connah’s Quay Nomads. He spent the 2021/22 season with Flint Town United before returning to Nomads, with his last appearance for the club coming in their Welsh Cup final win over New Saints in April 2024. Sponsored by Paul and Suzanne Emmett

 

 Danny HarrisonDanny Harrison (Assistant Manager)

Danny came through the youth ranks at Tranmere Rovers and made 125 Football League appearances for the Prenton Park club. He spent five seasons with Rotherham United making a further 185 EFL appearances until returning to Tranmere in 2012, where he spent a season. Two seasons followed with Chester in the National League before moving to Connah’s Quay Nomads in 2014. Danny’s seven seasons with Nomads saw him win back-to-back Cymru Premier titles, the Welsh Cup in 2018 and the Nathaniel MG Cup in 2020 as well as an Irn-Bru Cup runners-up medal. He left Nomads in 2021 and spent the last three seasons with Flint Town United, where most recently he was assistant manager. Sponsored by Bonta Deli
