TWO goals from Jordan Davies helped Colwyn Bay move into the top five of the JD Cymru Prenier Leaague with a 3-0 home win over Haverfordwest County at the Blue Turtle Arena.
Louis Robles was the other Bay scorer while Haverfordwest County finished the game with nine men as Alaric Jones and Ben Fawcett were both red carded.
The Bay had an early chance, as Aaron Williams headed just past the post from a great cross by Uniss Kargbo, but they were in front inside nine minutes.
Sam Hart’s corner was headed back out to him and from his second cross Louis Robles sent a glancing header inside the far post.
Louis hit another chance over the bar before the Bay doubled their lead on the half hour with Louis providing the assist and Jordan Davies the finish.
Haverfordwest then had defender Alaric Jones sent off on 34 minutes and Colwyn Bay quickly took advantage of the extra man with Louis Robles crossing for the unmarked Jordan Davies to get his second goal of the game and double his season’s tally to four.
The second half was a scrappy affair with numerous yellow cards on both sides and few chances.
Jamie Cumming put a header over the bar and visiting keeper Luc Rees made a great save from a Louis Robles header to prevent Bay adding a fourth goal.
In the closing minutes Ben Fawcett was booked for a foul and then immediately booked again for kicking the ball away to reduce Haverfordwest to nine men.
No goals in the second half, but the Bay did record their first clean sheet of the season to maintain their goal difference.
