MAX McGOONA scored a goal and had three assists as Colwyn Bay Reserves extended their unbeaten start to the season in the FAW Reserve League North (three wins and a draw) with a 5-1 home victory over Bangor City 1876 Development squad at Eirias Park.
Tom Attewell gave Bay an early lead after seven minutes, and although Bangor equalised through Jamie Reed, Ben Hoban put Bay back in front seven minutes later from Max McGoona’s assist.
Max then scored himself from an Owen Thomas assist to put the home side 3-1 up at half-time.
Max set up further goals for Owen Thomas and Sam Parry in the second half to secure a comfortable victory.
The result moves Colwyn Bay above Bangor in the table to fourth, five points behind league leaders Llandudno Reserves, but with a game in hand.
