TWO late goals, including an 89th minute penalty, ended Colwyn Bay Reserves’ unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 defeat away to the Gresford Athletic Development team.

The young Seagulls looked on course for a seventh win in eight games when Efan Bowden-Williams put them 1-0 up on 73 minutes from an Owen Thomas assist, but Gresford equalised seven minutes later through their captain Phil McKevitt-Harvey and then snatched victory with that penalty which was put away by Alex Cooper.

Colwyn Bay drop to third in the FAW Reserve League North table behind Llandudno Reserves and Connah’s Quay Under 18s, who both have a game in hand.
