Our reserves FAW Youth Cup quarter-final away to Barry Town United, scheduled to be played tomorrow (Sunday 1st February) has been postponed pending a hearing to take place this week.
The matter relates to an error on the team sheet submission system during the side’s last round victory over Pontypridd United; a result of which the FAW chose to remove Colwyn Bay from the competition but place no fine against the club in acknowledgement that the error was genuine, and that we had gone through the correct process to rectify it with the officials on the day.
As such, we have appealed the decision to remove the team from the competition with the quarter-final tie in Barry now postponed pending the result of this week’s hearing.
The club shall make no further comment at this time.
