COLWYN BAY will be at home to Penybont in the end of season play-offs for a European place after a Jamie Cumming penalty earned a 1-1 draw in the final league game away to Connah’s Quay Nomads.

The semi-final will be shown live on Sgorio next Saturday (April 25th), with a 12:30pm kick off at the Blue Turtle Arena.

Barry Town United will play Haverfordwest County in the other semi-final at 2:45pm.

The Seagulls went for a low block in the first half against Connah’s Quay and looked to play on the break, with Alex Moore having a shot from the edge of the area blocked and Nomads keeper Kit Margetson making a big save from Jamie Cumming after a strong run by Ethan Roberts.

The home side went in front, however, through Callum West on 35 minutes, only for the Bay to equalise with a penalty five minutes later.

Ethan Roberts was fouled in the area and Jamie Cumming stepped up to score from the spot.

In the second half, with Jordan Davies and Issa Kargbo introduced from the bench at the break, the Bay looked the better side and might have won it late on with Jordan and Issa both firing chances straight at the keeper.
