COLWYN BAY Under-21s suffered their first defeat of the season in the FAW National Reserve Leaague North when they lost 2-1 against Mold Alexandra’s development team.
Although officially an away game for the young Seagulls, the match was switched to the Blue Turtle Arena, but that didn’t help Paul Roberts’ side extend their unbeaten record to six games.
They took the lead through Luca Moran after 20 minutes, from Leo Brooks’ assist, and they held that lead to half-time.
Mold, however, turned the game around in the second half with James Davies equalising on 58 minutes and then Alex Smith netting the match-winner 18 minutes from time.
