A WELCOME to the Bay to goalkeeper Alfie Brooks, who has joined us on loan from Stoke City.
The 19-year-old recently joined Stoke after three years with Birmingham City having also been with West Bromwich Albion.
Manager Steve Evans said: “Really pleased to welcome Alfie to the club.
“To have two young hungry goalkeepers to push each other and bring out the best in each other is fantastic.
“I’ve always said, as a squad we want that healthy competition, where each player pushes the next, which we saw last season where everyone pushed and brought the best out of each other.
“The signing of Alfie came from Cov (Chairman Neil Coverley) who has good links within the game. Myself and Cov work really close and are continually planning and building together.
“Alfie has a good presence about him and is really comfortable with the ball at his feet. I’m Looking forward to working with him.
