THE Seagulls have been drawn at home to fellow Cymru North side Ruthin Town in the third round of the JD Welsh Cup, with the tie scheduled for Friday September 24th with a 7:45pm kick off.
Ruthin won 1-0 at the Bay in the League at the end of July, so the Bay will bee hoping for a revenge win to take them into the last 16 of the competition.
Phil Hudson’s side won 5-4 at Bodedern in the second round, having previously beaten Llangefni 1-0 in the previous round.
Bay boss Craig Hogg commented: “First and foremost we are really happy to have a home tie.
“By law of averages at some point we had to get a home cup tie (seven of the club’s previous eight cup games have been away from home) so that was pleasing, but I don’t think it matters who we draw at this stage.
“All the teams have earned the right to be in the draw and Ruthin showed when they beat us earlier in the season that they are a good side.
“We know we will have to perform better than we did on that day if we to progress.”
