COLWYN BAY were beaten 1-0 at the Blue Turtle Arena in front of a Tuesday night crowd of 807 as Bala Town completed a league double over the Seagulls.
The only goal of the game came with a header from a corner and Colwyn Bay couldn’t reply as they failed to score for the second game running.
The Bay started well with Uniss Kargbo having a shot blocked after a good run into the box and Jordan Davies hitting the post with a 25 yard free kick.
The home side continued to press, with a header going narrowly past the post and Louis Robles’ bicycle kick saved by the keeper.
Yet it was Bala who took the lead when their first real attack forced a corner and from the flag kick Hussein Mehasseb rose highest to head past Alex Bown on 42 minutes.
Alex made a couple of good saves in the second half to keep his side in the game, but although they Bay had plenty of possession they created very little against a solid Bala defence.
