COLWYN BAY look well placed to boast the best average attendance in the JD Cymru Leagues for the 2021/22 campaign.

The Seagulls official average home league attendance over the season was 626 – that is 41 better than the best Welsh Premier average attendance of 585 for Caernarfon Town (based on pre-championship play-off figures at Welsh Premier League | Average Attendances | Home Matches | Football Web Pages).

Aberystwyth Town (409) and Flint Town United (405) were the only only Premier clubs to top 400, with new champions The New Saints down in ninth place with 295 and previous champions Connah’s Quay Nomads 10th on 282.

In the JD Cymru North Llandudno had the second highest average, way behind Colwyn Bay on 283, with Buckley Town in third on 261.

Champions Airbus UK Broughton were fourth on 234.

Colwyn Bay’s best league home attendance was the ‘derby’ against Llandudno (1,020) with eight other attendances over 600.

The home Welsh Cup game against Cardiff Met attracted a crowd of over 800, despite being live on S4C television.

The club’s excellent away support also gave the majority of clubs in the JD Cymru North their biggest home gates of the season.
