CofisN BAY suffered their first defeat of the new league season as they lost 3-0 away to Caernarfon Town in front of an all ticket crowd of 1,352 at The Oval.
In truth the Cofis were the better side throughout and produced some clinical finishing from Dan Gosset, Zack Clarke and the experiernced Adrian Cieslewicz.
Bay should in fact, have taken an early lead but when Louis Robles headed against the post from Matty Hill’s long throw, Nathan Peate shot wide from the rebound when well placed to score.
Caernarfon dominated midfield after that and Gosset danced through the Bay defence to fire past Mark Halstead and give the home side a 27th minute lead.
The Bay keeper had to make two saves from Osian Evans to prevent further goals before half-time , while Connor Roberts in the Caernarfon goal wa virtually untroubled.
Roberts did make a good save from Jordan Davies early in the second half and the Bay had a penalty shout turned down by VAR from th erebound, but Caernarfon were always the dominant side and they doubled their lead through Zack Clarke’s sharp finish on 64 minutes for his third goal of the season.
Adrian Cieslewicz added a third goal nine minutes later after Ryan Astles had lost the ball deep in his own half and Gosset was unlucky not add a fourth when he curled a shot against the post,
Jordan Davies had a chance to pull a goal back late on, but lifted his free kick over the bar.
