THE Seagulls are preparing for a big Bank Holiday weekend with games at bottom of the table Conwy Borough on Friday evening (Aug 26, 7:30pm) and at home to second-placed Mold Alex on Monday (Aug 29, 2:30pm).

With JD Cymru North leaders Llandudno travelling to third-placed Buckley on Friday before playing fifth-placed Guilsfield on Monday, there is a chance that Bay could finish the weekend in the top two, with a game still in hand, if they can maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Conwy are still looking for their first win of the campaign after a draw and three defeats, but will certainly be looking to up their game for Friday’s ‘derby’ clash – and Bay have yet to win against the Morfa team since returning to Welsh football (two draws and a defeat).

Newly-promoted Mold have had three good wins after losing 4-0 in their opening Cymru North game at Guilsfield and will again be tough opposition.

A number of their squad were previously with Airbus UK, including captain Rhys Nash, while striker Callum Freeman has already featured in the Cymru Leagues Team of the Week this season.

Turkish midfielder Haci Ozlu was with Chester U19s and at Cefn Druids in the Welsh Prem.

Bay boss Steve Evans, however, says the team will  prepare well this week, put the work in, and go into the games, in front of what should be two big bank holiday crowds, full of confidence.

Entry to Friday’s game at Conwy is £6 Adults and £4 concessions.
