We’re excited to confirm plans to launch an FAW accredited National Academi starting from the 2026/27 season in a move designed to further strengthen the club, and North Wales’, player development pathway.

Overseen by Director of Football, Mike Wilde, the club’s Academy shall initially feature teams at Under 13’s, 15’s,16’s, 19’s and reserve age groups with a strategic plan in place to expand this model over the coming years as we work to developing a full Academy structure which shall sit alongside the club’s ever growing grassroots junior section.

For player’s interested in applying for a place within the age groups mentioned, open trials shall be held in the Easter half-term, with further details of these to be announced in the coming weeks.

Speaking about the development, Mike Wilde said: “The launching of the club’s academy is the next stage of our strategic development plan, allowing us to further strengthen a development pathway for players not just for the club, but for Welsh football in general.

“The club is carrying a lot of momentum currently both on and off the pitch, and it’s important that we continue to build on the solid foundations which are currently being laid.

“This is an important piece of the jigsaw, and I look forward to revealing further information ahead of our Easter trial dates in the coming weeks.”
