THE club is pleased to announce that Chris Hughes has accepted an invitation to join the board of directors.

Chris is Managing Director and founder of GO2 People Group Ltd, the club’s main shirt sponsor.

Based in Colwyn Bay, GO2 People is a ‘Recruitment and Employment Agency Specialising’ in the logistics, health, social care, manufacturing, engineering & administrative sectors.

GO2 People became sponsors at the start of the 2021-22 season in a 3-year agreement which sees the company’s logo on the shirts of all the teams under the club’s umbrella.

Colwyn Bay chairman Neil Coverley said:

“The support Chris and his team at GO2 have given the club during the past season has been fantastic.

“Chris is passionate about grassroots football and believes that a club has a pivotal role to play within the local community.

“I’m delighted Chris has accepted the invitation to join the board of directors and I look forward to working alongside him.”

Chris said:

”Both I on a personal note and GO2 commercially are proud to be associated with CBFC and the structure within the club.

“I believe exciting times are ahead, and the anticipation for 2022/23 can be felt throughout the club, its followers and faithful army of supporters.

“I sincerely hope I can be a valued addition to the board and further assist the current members in the fabulous work they have all done up thus far.

“I would also to extend my best wishes to Steve Evans and his team in their pre-season preparations and the very best for his first full season in charge.

“As I expressed last season in a ‘Q&A’ session with Steve, I personally believe the club in the best and safest hands for the coming term and hopefully thereafter – C’mon The Seagulls.”
