The initiative will be officially unveiled at the Coleg Llandrillo, Rhos-on-Sea Community Open Event on 9th May, with enrolment now open for September 2026.
The academy is open to all prospective males aged 16 -19 regardless of previous club affiliation, with a dedicated female pathway set to launch in 2027-28.
This innovative partnership provides aspiring footballers with a unique opportunity to combine high quality education with elite level training and competitive match experience. The programme is designed to support player development both on and off the pitch, offering students a clear pathway into higher levels of the game while achieving recognised academic qualifications.

Through its collaboration with Colwyn Bay FC, students will benefit from direct links to a progressive football club environment, gaining invaluable exposure to senior football and real world sporting pathways.”
The Community Open Event at Coleg Llandrillo, Rhos-on-Sea on 9th May will give prospective students, parents, and local partners the chance to meet coaching staff, explore the facilities, and learn more about the opportunities available through the academy and scholarship programme.
