DAN ATKINS hit a late winner deep into added time as the Seagulls came from behind to win 2-1 away to Caersws and go top of the JD Cymru North table.

The home side took the lead on 71 minutes, but Sol Forde tapped in an equaliser seven minutes later before Dan snatched the winner four minutes into added time.

With Airbus in Welsh Cup action, Colwyn Bay go two points clear at the top of the table – although Airbus do now have a game in hand.

Colwyn Bay had chances in the first half, but Josh Carey shot too close to the keeper when running in on goal, Cai Owen fired just over the bar from the edge of the area and Craig Lindfield saw a goal-bound shot blocked.

Jamie Cumming curled shot just wide after a good run into the box and saw a left-footed effort go wide, while Sam Hart headed over the bar from a Cumming cross.

In the second half Craig Lindfield missed the target with a big chance after a great cross by Josh Carey and Jamie Cumming sent a looping header just wide, before Caersws stunned Bay by taking the lead through Rhys Hesden on 71 minutes.

The Seagulls responded well and Sol Forde equalised on 78 minutes when a ball into the box evaded everyone and left Sol with a tap in.

The Bay then had a big shout for a penalty waved away by the referee and Jay Owen shot narrowly over the bar from the edge of the area.

However, second half substitute Dan Atkins popped up with that late, late winner to net all three points.
