Recap

COLWYN BAY’s top of the table clash away to Airbus UK Broughton ended all square with the wingmen holding onto their one point lead in the table with a 1-1 draw.

Jamie Cumming gave the Seagulls the lead after 17 minutes, but they conceded an equaliser right on half-time and neither side could break the deadlock in a goalless second half – although Colwyn Bay did extend their unbeaten league run to 20 games.

Jamie Cumming was unlucky early on when he hit the post from Sam Hart’s header, but made no mistake on 17 minutes when he headed a long ball over the the last defender and then coolly fired past advancing keeper Keighan Jones to give Colwyn Bay the lead.

Jones made a super full stretch save to turn an Ethan Roberts shot for a corner, and Colwyn Bay restricted the home side to a couple of long range efforts, although Rhys Williams made a good one-on-one save to deny Kaiden Cooke.

Airbus, however, equalised right on half-time with a header from George Peers.

in the second half Ethan Roberts fired a chance high and wide after neatly beating a defender and Airbus survived a goalmouth scramble from a Roberts cross.

Craig Lingfield fired another chance over the bar after a long ball from Josh Carey was headed on by Jamie Cumming, and Keighan Jones easily gathered a weak shot from Ethan Roberts.

At the other end Airbus substitute James Davies shot narrowly wide and saw another effort drop over the bar as the game petered out in a draw.
