Match Report
A HEADER from Kristian Platt earned Colwyn Bay a 1-0 away victory at in-form Holywell Town to move to within a point of third-placed Guilsfield in the JD Cymru North table.
The only goal came after 22 minutes and Holywell then had Myles Hart sent off in the second half for serious foul play.
Bay defended well to block efforts from Danny Andrews and Ilan ap Gareth before Platt’s goal, and it needed a fine save by home keeper Keighan Jones to prevent James Kirby adding a second Bay goal before half-time.
Dave Forbes headed narrowly over the bar for the home side, while Zebb Edwards was inches wide and Andy Coughlin saved from the dangerous Allshorn before Hart’s red card.
The 10-men of Holywell, however, pressed hard for an equaliser with Zebb Edwards heading inches wide, Andy Coughlin saving well from Jake Cooke and Forbes firing a chance over the bar.
