Guto Williams is the Bay’s seventh signing of the close season.
A former Ysgol y Creuddyn pupil, Guto was at Llandudno before joining Bangor City’s academy and progressed to the Citizens’ first team.
His studies saw him move to Cardiff Met University at the start of the 2018/19 season. He was part of the Cardiff Met squad which won the Cymru Premier play-off against Bala in 2019 and was on the bench for their Europa League games against Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg. He returned to Llandudno for the 2021/22 season and scored two goals in 26 games in the JD Cymru North and was included in the team of the season.
Guto said:
“I am looking forward to playing in front of one of the biggest crowds in Welsh football, and knowing that lots of my friends are long standing Bay followers, it’s going to be great playing in front of them.
“I know that the club is ambitious and it is exciting times for all associated with the club. I am looking forward to playing a part in helping the club try to achieve these ambitions.”
Steve Evans said:
“I’m really pleased to be working with Guto again – he was with me in the Welsh academy squad few years ago.
“He’s young, hungry and a very talented footballer.
“He can play midfield or in defence so gives us more options.
“His range of passing is one of his biggest attributes and with the way we want to play, I believe he can be vital in starting the play off and keeping the ball for us.
“Welcome to the Bay Guto.”
