TWO goals in the dying minutes from Nikola Georgiev saw Colwyn Bay U19s snatch a thrilling 4-3 victory over Llanrwst United Reserves in the opening game of the FAW Reserve League North West at the 4 Crosses Arena.

Max McGoona gave the Bay team an early lead after seven minutes, but Llanrwst led 2-1 at half-time with goals from Dylan Williams (13) and Cian Hughes (18).

Colwyn Bay equalised through Sam Parry five minutes into the second half, only for Llanrwst to take the lead again through Luke Snape just past the hour.

That looked like being the decider, but Nikola equalised on 88 minutes and then grabbed the winner three minutes into added time to net the three points and get Bay’s League campaign off to a winning start.
