TWO goals from skipper Tom McCready helped the Seagulls wrap up their pre-season games with an excellent 3-1 win over Welsh Premier Flint Town United in front of 350 crowd.

It was an impressive display by Steve Evans’ squad ahead of next week’s opening League fixture at Llandudno, with McCready also having a goal disallowed for offside to deny him a treble.

In the first half Dylan Allshorn fired wide after an excellent run and also had a deflected shot tipped over the bar as well as a low shot saved by the keeper.

McCready, who has impressed in the last two games, then curled a shot past the post before slamming home Joe Williams’ cutback to give Bay the lead at half-time.

A fine curling effort from Allshorn doubled the lead following an excellent run from Alex Downes, and McCready made it 3-0 with a tap in from a short corner before Flint pulled a goal back late on.

Manager Steve Evans said:

“We could have been 2-0 up in the opening 10 minutes. I thought we were well worth it.

“We had a few missing today, protecting them for next week and a few away as well.

“But the lads that came in were first class and for 60/70 minutes I thought we were dominant.

“We’ll be back to it on Tuesday ready to prepare for Friday night.”
