TWO goals in the space of eight second half minutes by skipper Nikola Georgiev set Colwyn Bay Under-19s on their way to a 4-1 Friday night victory over top three rivals Llanuwchllyn Reserves and go three points clear at the top of the FAW Reserve League North West.
Second-placed Llandudno Reserves, however, do now have two games in hand.
After a goalless first half at the 4 Crosses Arena Nikola scored the break through goal seven minutes into the second period from a penalty and then added a second goal on the hour to put the young Seagulls in control and take his own goals tally this season into double figures.
Tom Vaughan, one of five second half substitutions by Paul Roberts’ side, added a third goal on 79 minutes and although Llanuwchllyn pulled a goal back through Owain Williams four minutes later, Amaan Khan, making his debut, sealed Bay’s victory with their fourth goal three minutes from the end.
