TWO goals from Owen Thomas couldn’t save Colwyn Bay from a 3-2 defeat in their top of the table game away to rivals Llandudno in the FAW Reserve League North West.

The young Seagulls are still top, but with games in hand, Llandudno are now looking favourites to overtake them and seal the title.

Two goals in the space of three first half minutes by Cieran Williams was a huge blow that always had Colwyn Bay on the back foot.

Owen Thomas did pull one back before half-time, but Llandudno added a third goal through Alex Boss just after the hour to make it 3-1.

Owen Thomas got his second of the game nine minutes later to keep the Bay in the game, but they couldn’t force an equaliser.
