THREE days before they play Llandudno in the FAW Reserve League North Cup semi-final, Colwyn Bay suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Llanrwst United Reserves in the FAW Reserve League North West.
Matthew Mallender scored on the stroke of half-time to put the home side 1-0 up at half-time, and they doubled that led when Cian Hughes netted a second on 63 minutes.
Owen Thomas came off the bench to pull a goal back for Colwyn Bay on 72 minutes, but they couldn’t force an equaliser.
