THE Seagulls went back to the top of the JD Cymru North table with a 3-2 home win over Guilsfield.

First half goals from Dan Atkins, Sol Forde and Craig Lingfield put the Bay 3-0 up at half-time, and although Guilsfield pulled two goal back late in the second half, the Seagulls took the three points to go back above Airbus UK as league leaders – albeit having played a game more.

They made a great start with a goal after just two minutes. Guilsfield keeper Luke Edwards got a hand to Craig Lindfield’s head from a Joe Williams cross but couldn’t prevent Dan Atkins forcing the ball over the line from close range.

Sol Forde made it 2-0 on 17 minutes when he got on the end of Jay Owen’s header from a Sam Hart corner and Craig Lindfield got Bay’s third before the half hour.

Jamie Cumming was unlucky not to make it four when his first time shot from the edge of the area hit the bar.

Colwyn Bay couldn’t add to their lead in a disappointing second half and after Rhys Williams made a good save to tip an effort over the bar, Guilsfield got a goal back on 75 minutes with a neat finish by Jamie Hyne and Joe Hancock got a second deep into added time following a long throw into the Bay area.
