WE are pleased to announce the signing of defender Sam Hart.
Sam’s arrival comes two years after he initially signed for the Seagulls from Airbus UK Broughton.
He never made his Bay debut as the JD Cymru North was on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic and he joined Flint Town United in October 2020.
He has been at Flint for the past two seasons and was part of the side which lost to Caernarfon Town in the JD Cymru Premier play-off final in May.
Sam was a youngster at Preston North End and represented Wales at schoolboy, Under-17 and Under-19 level.
“Really happy to have the opportunity to sign and play for such a big club in Wales.
“I’m looking forward to finally being able to put on the Colwyn Bay kit after covid interrupted last time round and hopefully I can bring my own qualities into an already talented squad.”
Manager Steve Evans said:
“Sam brings quality and experience to the Bay.
“He’s a player who was challenging for European honours last season in the top sux of the JD Cymru Premier with Flint.
“I’ve known Sam’s quality from seeing him play over the years. Having spoken with him, his personality and desire to win really impresssed me.
“That experience and desire will add to what we’re trying to achieve here at the Bay.
“He’s a versitile player who can play in a number of positions, which gives us plenty of options.
“He has good quality from set pieces also.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to work with Sam.
“He’s a player with the right attitude to working hard and winning football matches. That’s what we are here to do, to give our superb Seagulls fans something to sing about.
“Welcome to the Bay Sam!”
