AFTER two home postponements in the past week, the Seagulls will be champing at the bit to return to match action against fifth-in-the-table Buckley Town on Friday evening (Jan 20th, 7:45pm).
The Bay are one of only two sides to have won at Buckley’s Globe Way stadium this season (4-1 in September) and will bidding to complete a fifth League double of the campaign to maintain their unbeaten league record.
They have previously won home and away against Guilsfield, Ruthin Town, Holyhead Hotspur and Prestatyn.
Despite their strong home form, Buckley have lost six of their nine away fixtures in JD Cymru North this season, but will have been encouraged by their performance in the JD Welsh Cup away to Briton Ferry Llansawel last weekend, when they came back from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 – only to go out of the competition 8-7 on penalties.
Manager Dan Moore will want his side to show the same fighting spirit again on Friday and the Bay can expect a tough game as they look to extend their healthy lead at the top of the table.
Buckley could also have new goalkeeper signing Ryan Goldston from Ruthin in their squad for the first time.
