STEFAN Edwards is in line to make his 300th Cymru Premier appearance as Bay host Penybont at the 4 Crosses Construction Arena on Saturday.

Steff, who joined the Bay in January 2022, has appeared in the top-flight for clubs including Cefn Druids, Welshpool Town, Aberystwyth Town, Bala Town, Airbus UK and Newtown.

It was Steff who provided the cross for Alex Downes to head home Bay’s winner away at Penybont in September to secure a first league victory.

“It was a great battling performance down there and a great result,” manager Steve Evans.

“We’ve got to show what we’ve been showing – grit and determination, keep doing the work and the results will come.”

Penybont come into Saturday’s game on the back of three consecutive defeats which has seen Rhys Griffiths’ side drop out of the top six.

Bay dropped into the bottom two in midweek despite not playing, with Barry Town winning.
