STEVE EVANS has outlined his ambition of promotion to the JD Cymru Premier following his appointment as Bay manager.

Steve won seven Welsh Premier titles in his two spells with The New Saints, where he was captain for many seasons.

More recently he returned to the Cymru Premier as a player with Caernarfon Town before his appointment as Bay manager.

“I want to start to put things in place to make sure that we get there,” Steve said.

“But it’s not just about getting there – it’s about staying there and competing.

“If we continue day in day out to be the best version of ourselves then I can’t see why we can’t get there.

“I’m a born winner. I’m demanding – as a player and as a coach.

“But I’ll be honest with the players and build that team with the right ethos and the right values to go out and work hard for each other to get the right results and get where the club deserves to be.

“Everybody’s going to have a fresh slate and everybody’s going to have a fair chance.

“It gives me an opportunity until the end of the season to look where we’re, where we need to be and what we need to strengthen and to start putting building blocks and a structure in place ready for us to go next season and get promoted.”
