COLWYN BAY made progress in the FAW Youth Cup with a 2-0 away win at Cwm Wanderers, despite playing most of the game with ten players.
The young Seagulls suffered a big early blow when Owen Thomas was shown a straight red card after only 12 minutes, but they led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a penalty converted by Tom Attewell.
Efan Bowden-Williams scored from a second penalty on 51 minutes and the home side’s hopes of getting back in the game were hit when they had their skipper Joseff Shaw sent off just after the hour.
