PLAYING a second game in three days proved too much for Colwyn Bay Under-21s as they suffered a heavy 5-1 Tuesday night home defeat to Penmaenmawr Phoenix U21s in the FAW National Reserve League North at the Blue Turtle Arena.
Logan Williams put the visitors ahead inside the first 15 minutes and they were 3-0 up at half-time with further goals from Oliver Evans and a Kayden Williams-Squires penalty.
Charlie McIlvogue added a fourth goal just after the hour and although Colwyn Bay pulled a goal back through Tom Attewell, from Elliott Bullock’s assist, Penmaenmawr rounded off a convincing victory with a fifth goal from Harry Birchall in added time at the end of the game.
COLWYN BAY: Charlie Bubb, Taylor Roberts (Joe Parker 70), Cian Macko (Luke Parkes 70), Tom Attewell, Luca Moran, Elliott Bullock, Louie Goodare, Efan Bowden-Williams (c), Sammy Bourne (Josh Banks 70), Oscar McGoona (Esosa Edugie70), Tomos Fraser (Toby Jones 71).
