The Under-15s won 4-0 at Bala at the weekend.

ALEX DAVIES
Alex put in a superb performance at the weekend against a very good Bala side.
His desire to win the ball back was fantastic and to see him getting his head up and looking to make intelligent passes was very impressive.
Alex received and then implemented the guidance he was given, which I felt was the stand out part of a very impressive performance. Being very new to Academy Football he has made a fantastic start.
Keep up the hard work Alex.
Well done.

MACSEN HUGHES
Macsen displayed a fantastic defensive performance against strong opposition, he stayed strong and focused throughout the game, going in for the tackle early and stopping the oppositions attack from creating chances. Macsen’s ability to read the game is fantastic. When playing out from the bac,k Macsen remains calm and is able to carry the ball forward creating chances for our attackers and he assisted three goals.
A brilliant performance. Well done Macsen, keep up the good work.

COBY PROSSER
It has been a great week for Coby, with both his performances in training and then the weekend fixture against Bala. With Coby not being available for the last couple of games it was clear to see the impact he has when available with all the qualities he has.
Coby is such a natural defender, and in training we worked on defending 1v1s and also an overload of 3v2. This was something that Coby excelled in and demonstrated his ability with his great reading and anticipation of when to make the tackle. His success rate was superb and rarely was beaten.
This was the case again Saturday in some difficult wet conditions, but his concentration and focus remained and time and time again he was there to make the interception. He also showed his ability in his running with the ball when possible and carrying the ball and team up the pitch after making an interception.
Well done Coby keep up the hard work

SAM FOULKES
After a fantastic team performance for us as a collective. Our intensity and quality on and off the ball was optimised by Sam who worked equally hard in all four moments of the game.
His desire to make the correct decision at every possible opportunity, along with his communication to others is what separated him from a very good team performance.

ROWAN MAXWELL
What a week, and what a start to the season for Rowan!
Overall it has been a superb start to the season for the whole group and it was so tough to choose a player with the level the squad is playing at right now.
But Rowan just edged it and has really stood out in recent weeks. To see him come back this season with the attitude and dedication he has been demonstrating in training and matches is so pleasing. He is such a popular and influential figure, and myself and all the players have been so happy to see him back with the squad playing regularly and helping the team.
He has so many strong attributes and is a superb talent, and this has been so clear and evident in his performances and contributions in the last two games. In the form he is in, so many strikers will be pulling their hair out playing against him, as he is just giving them nothing. He has played a huge part in keeping back to back clean sheets with Llywarch and Charlie part of his defensive line also.
But huge credit must go to Rowan as he really is putting in the hard work with his focus and approach to his football at the minute. It is so great to see him playing in this form again, and most notably playing with a smile on his face and enjoying the challenges in front of him.
Well done Rowan. Keep up the hard work.

JAC JONES
A superb performance at the weekend from Jac against Bala.
Jac’s desire to win the ball back and create opportunities was first class. He worked tirelessly all game to support defensively. But his creativity when we were in possession was first class. Topped off with a great first goal for us.
Jac always gives a consistently good performance but he took it to the next level against Bala.
His work rate was fantastic. Chasing down lost causes and forcing the opposition into mistakes. His vision for a pass and his movement off the ball were a credit to his hard work.
Well done Jac. Another superb performance and well worthy of this week’s Player Of The Week.
Keep up the hard work Jac.

CARON WILLIAMS
AN outstanding performance from Caron at the weekend in the U14’s win against Bala. Caron was an absolute rock at the back, getting in the way of everything that came at him and being a continued calming presence for the team.
Caron has made great strides developing himself into almost the ultimate centre back over the past 18 months and it’s so good to see high quality, consistent performances from him week after week. He topped this strong performance off with a 10/10, last ditch slide challenge.
Keep up the great work Caron!

ANTHONY POOLE
Anthony has brought an injection of pace and power into our attack since joining at the back end of last season and with back to back hat tricks against Newtown and Bala he has hit the ground running this season.
Anthony is a constant threat in front of goal and causes defenders problems throughout the game, winning the ball back high up the pitch.
Well done Anthony keep up the great work

KIERON BAKER
Kieron has only just joined us in the Academy, but we have all been impressed with his football intelligence and his obvious ability in training and in his debut match against Connah’s Quay last week. He responds well to the individual coaching targets set for him, presses the ball well and is strong in the challenge. We have been asking him to push higher up the pitch in attacking transition recently and he looked dangerous when he did at Bala this week, capping off a fine performance with a well taken goal.
Well done Kieron, keep it up

U16 lead coach
UNDER-19s.
ARON WILLIAMS
After a good team display at the weekend, Aron optimised everything positive in our performance.
Sheer workrate and a positive attitude on and off the ball are what set him apart this week.
Correct decision making when off the ball was key and Aron led and organised others well around him.
His performance was encapsulated on the 89th minute with brilliant off the ball work rate which ensured a breakdown of possession from the opposition.
Well deserved Aron.
