Manager Craig Hogg has hailed captain Tom McCready, who is set to make his 100th appearance for the Bay against Gresford Athletic on Friday night.

“He is a big football player for this football club and he’s also a big character and person in the dressing room as well,” Craig said.

“He’s been a fantastic signing for the club since he came in and we know we’re fortunate to have him.”

Friday’s game will be the third time the teams will have met this season.

Bay were impressive 3-0 winners in the opening league game in July before a 2-1 win away in the Welsh Cup in September.

The Seagulls won their last three games and are fifth in the Cymru North while Friday’s opponents Gresford are 11th.

“We’ve put a string of decent results together of late and we’re looking to continue that moving forward,” Hoggy added.

“We are building a degree of momentum now and with us now at the halfway point of the campaign we want to start the second half of the season better than we started the first half of the season.”

Striker Mitch Bryant has left the club due to work and family commitments and Hoggy said: “We are sorry to see him go.

“We tried our best together to find a solution but increased work commitments made it hard.”

Kick off is 7.45pm and the clubhouse will be open from 6pm.

Supporters are advised to arrive early to avoid entrance delays as a large crowd is expected for our final home game of the year.
