Good afternoon and welcome to the 4 Crosses Construction Arena for the visit of Penrhyncoch for our penultimate home game of the JD Cymru North season.
Last Saturday proved to be a disappointing day in front of over 1,300 here as our magnificent winning run came to an end.
It just wasn’t our day, as Steve and the players acknowledged and now it’s a case of moving on and going again. We all know what we need to do and the backing of the supporters will be as crucial as ever.
This will be our first meeting of the season against Penrhyncoch and the first of back to back games against them – we make the visit to Ceredigion on Good Friday.
It’s been a difficult season for Penrhyncoch which was compounded by the loss of their chairman Kevin ‘Bones’ Jenkins in January, on the eve of the original scheduled game between the sides here. The tributes paid to him at the time show how much he contributed not only to Penrhyncoch but to football and the wider community.
Today’s matchball sponsorship is dedicated to Gary ‘Coaches’ Lloyd and Darren ‘Scouse’ Murphy who are both recovering after recently being taken unwell. A number of their fellow fans have come together to show their support for both, a great gesture which shows the great spirit among Seagulls supporters.
Seagulls!
