THE club was sorry to learn of the recent death of former player Geoff Hill.

A classy wing half, Geoff played for Llysfaen, Old Colwyn and Bay’s Reserve team in the Vale of Conwy League.
He would go on to play for the first team and had the distinction of playing as a makeshift goalkeeper in two Welsh Cup ties – against Caernarfon and Porthmadog during the 1970/71 season.

Against Porthmadog in the Fourth Round, Geoff was pressed into service as a goalkeeper, but within eight minutes he retired with an eye injury which needed hospital treatment and Bay subsequently lost 5-0.

We send our condolences to Geoff’s family and friends.*
His funeral service will be held at Colwyn Bay Crematorium on the 13th April.
