THE Blue Turtle Arena hosts a clash of the champions on Bank Holiday Monday (Aug 25, 2:30pm), when last season’s JD Cymru North champions Colwyn Bay take on reigning Welsh Prem champions The New Saints.

The Seagulls have yet to get their first victory in the top flight after securing promotion in April, and manager Mike Wilde knows they face a big challenge on a day when temperatures are extected to reach the high 20s.

Speaking to Connor Williams on Cymru Sport, Wildey said: “They are Welsh Prem champions and are consistently in the Champions League and European football. They’ve got a phenominal squad and we are really going to have to be on it to get anything out of the game, but we’ll prepare well and we’ll being doing all we can to get a result.

“Briton Ferry beat them in the first game of the season so lets see if we can have a little bit of a surprise up our sleeves.”
