Match Report

TWO goals from Sam Hart helped the Seagulls get back to winning ways with a 3-0 home victory over Penhryncoch which keeps them three points clear at the top of the table going into the last two games of the season.

Lewis Sirrell was the other scorer and only a string of saves by visitors keeper Oliver Farebrother denied the Bay a much bigger victory.

They now travel to Penrhyncoch on Friday knowing victory will virtually sew up the title.

After Hart had pulled an early chance wide of target, he put the Bay in front on 14 minutes when he scored from a rebound after Dylan Allshorn’s shot from Tom McCready’s pass had come back off a post.

Lewis Sirrell was just off target with a rocket effort from distance, Kristian Platt headed wide from a McCready corner and the keeper made a good save from McCready before Bay doubled their lead on 38 minutes.

Sirrell’s shot from the edge of the area squirmed through Farebrother’s grasp and trickled over the line for the big defender’s sixth goal of the season.

Bay were also denied a penalty before half-time when Alex Downes looked to be taken out inside the area.

Farebrother made a good save to turn Tom Creamer’s run and shot for a corner and Cai Owen also had shot deflected for a corner, which led the Bay’s third goal on 62 minutes.

From Tom McCready’s flag kick Lewis Sirrell’s shot was saved by the keeper, but Sam Hart was there to score from the rebound.

Tom Creamer was just wide with another good effort and Penrhyncoch’s star man Farebrother saved well from Matty Hill, Dylan Allshorn and Tom Creamer in the closing stages to leave Bay two short of their 100th league goal of the season.
