SAM DOWNEY scored his first goal of the season on his 50th appearance to help the Seagulls to extend their winning league run to 19 games with a 4-2 home victory over Llanidloes town.
Craig Lindfield, Tom McCready and Ryan Edwards were also on target as the Bay completed their seventh league double of the campaign to go 11 points clear at the top of the Jd Cymru North.
They got a flying start to go 2-0 up inside the opening 10 minutes.
Crain Lindfield made it four goals in the last four games when he scored from close range from Cai Owen’s cross on five minutes and then Tom McCready scored with a great strike from Tom Creamer’s lay-off.
Jamie Breeze pulled a goal back when Bay failed to deal with a cross into their area, before Downey chipped a shot into the far corner of the net from another assist by Cai Owen to make it 3-1 on 26 minutes.
Another defensive mistake allowed Breeze to round keeper Jack Crichton to pull another goal back before half-time and the visitors had a bid chance to equalise put fired over the bar.
In the second half Llanidloes keeper Luke Evans made a fine save from a Tom McCready free kick and the Bay had a shout for a penalty waved away when Tom Creamer went down in the box.
Llanidloes missed the target with another big chance to level before Ryan Edwards secured victory with Bay’s fourth goal, firing home from the edge of the box from Tom McCready’s pass.
In the closing minutes Dylan Allshorn was close to a fifth with a good run and shot that was just past the post.
