Match Report
COLWYN BAY came from a goal down to beat Cefn Druids 4-1 at the 4 Crosses Arena to make it 21 league wins in a row and stay 12 points clear at the top of the JD Cymru North.
Druids took a 28th minute lead on the break, but after Dylan Allshorn equalised on the stroke of half-time, second half goals from Stefan Edwards, Cai Owen and Guto Williams secured the points.
The Bay suffered a first half blow when skipper Tom McCready had to go off with an injury and they struggled to really trouble Druids keeper Michael Jones, although he did make an excellent double to save to deny Tom Creamer and then Matty Hill.
Druids broke quickly from that escape and Stefan Jones broke clear to fire past the advancing Jack Crichton to the visitors in front.
They looked taking that lead into half-time but three minutes into added time Druiod failed tro deal with a free kick into the area and Dylan Allshorn rifled an equaliser into the roof of the net from close range.
The Bay then dominated much of the second half, but missed a chance to take the lead when Lewis Sirrell fired a penalty award against the foot of a post.
They were not to be denied, however, and three minutes later great work by Alex Downes on the right produced a ground scramble before Stef Edwards fired the Bay in front.
On 75 minutes substitute Sam Hart broke free on the left from a great pass by Lewis Sirrell and chipped a great ball over the keeper for Cai Owen to race and make sure the ball went over the line.
The Bay also had a goal ruled out for offside before a pin point free kick by Ryan Edwards was headed into the net by Guto Williams, five minutes after coming on as a substItute, for his second goal of the campaign.
