Match Report

THE Seagulls took their league goals tally this season to 90 with a 5-0 ‘derby’ victory at home to Conwy Borough.

Tommy Creamer had two goals and assist and Matty Hill’s two goals took him ahead of James Kirby to become the team’s top scorer this campaign (15). Guto Williams was the other Bay scorer with his second goal in the last three games.

The Bay dominated from the start with Matty Hill shooting over the bar from Tom Creamer’s cross in the opening minute, and he had another effort pushed over the bar by Conwy keeper Tyler French after good work by Alex Downes.

It was Creamer, however, who opened the scoring on 17 minutes with a close range finish after a Stef Edwards shot had been saved by the keeper.

The Bay continued to pile on the pressure and doubled their lead on 41 minutes with Matty Hill’s header from Alex Downes’ great cross.

Alex Downes was then unlucky not to add a third before half-time, seeing one header deflected for a corner from which a second header looped onto the top of the net.

Tom McCready had a shot from the edge of the area saved by French early in the second half, but Jack Crichton was called into action to make a fine save diving to his right to prevent Conwy pulling a goal back,

The Bay, however, made it 3-0 on 70 minutes with Tommy Creamer’s deflected shot from Dylan Allshorn’s cross.

Matty Hill hit the bar from 20 yards after a good turn and shot, before two further goals in added time completed the scoring.

Guto Williams headed number four from Creamer’s cross and a minute later Matty Hill tapped in his second of the game after Craig Lindfield’s shot, following a good run into the area, was pushed out by the keeper.
