JAMIE CUMMING could hit a half-century of appearances for the Bay in Friday’s big local ‘derby’ away to Llandudno ( August 16m, 7:45pm).

He made his debut as a second half substitute against Cefn Druids in the championship-winning 2022/23 season and has scored five goals and had numerous assists in his 49 appearances since then.

He is currently fighting his way back to full match fitness after injury, although he played an hour in the win over Holywell Town just over a week ago, and you can hear how he feels his recovery is progressing in an interview with Connor Williams following the Llay game on Player Interview – Jamie Cumming 9th August 2024 (youtube.com).

Games’ against Llandudno have always been strongly contested affairs and Bay’s management are expecting Friday’s match to be no different, with Jordan Hadaway’s team on a high after a 3-0 win over Penrhyncoch last weekend. They have also successfully come through two rounds of the MG Nathaniel Cup this season.

Danny Harrrison commented: “Jordan has assembled a highly competitive squad so we are going to have to give them our full respect.

” They had a good result in their last game so they’re going to be on the front foot and make it really difficult for us. We are away from home (for the first time this season) so we we’ve got to make sure we prepare the lads correctly for what will be a very competitive game.”
