THE Seagulls get the 2021/22 season under way on Saturday (July 17) with a trip to Holywell Town in the opening round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

Holywell, who include former Bay player Danny Andrews in their squad, completed their  pre-season with a 3-1 home defeat to Wrexham’s Youth team on Tuesday evening,  having taken an early lead, but they had an excellent 2-1 win over Caernarfon Town  and drew 1-1 with Cefn Druids. Their other games saw a 4-0 win at Rhydymwyn and a 4-2 home defeat to Runcorn Town.

The Bay are likely to be without goalkeeper Paddy Rutter after he suffered a head injury in the friendly win over Porthmadog last weekend. Gwion Owen also picked up an injury against Porthmadog and was having that assessed this week.
