THE club is delighted that planning permission for a new stand and car parking area at the 4 Crosses Arena has been granted by Conwy County Council’s Planning Committee

The new 1,000 seater stand will replace the two existing covered terraced stands on the bank side of the ground, which were constructed in the late 1980s.

The new stand will take the ground’s seating capacity to 1,850 and will put the club in a strong position to hold international, European and representative games at Llanelian Road.

The car parking area at the rear of the ground will have space for up to 200 vehicles.

“This is fantastic news for the club and will take us to the next level – on and off the pitch,” club chairman Neil Coverley said.

“It’s another significant development in making the 4 Crosses Arena one of prominent sporting venues in north Wales and capable of hosting international fixtures.

“We are looking at a sixteen to eighteen-week period of build weather permitting and hopefully it will be completed by the end of the season.

“We have had a great start to the season in the JD Cymru North and there is great excitement around the club and the community currently.

“Confirmation that we can press ahead with this exciting development will be a further boost to everyone involved with the club.”

Conwy’s planning committee granted permission for the stand, subject to the project meeting some highway amendments within the next three months.
