IT is with great sadness to hear that long-time supporter and life member Glyn ‘Jabbers’ Jones has passed away.
Jabbers was a much loved character who was a familiar face at Llanelian Road for many years.
He made a considerable contribution to the club over the years – utilising his skills as a carpenter at the ground.
He was also an inimitable fundraiser – most particularly the weekly Football Card – ‘Only one left’ was his catchphrase!
Jabbers also ran the Supporters Club Stall at the Bay View Shopping Centre for many years along with the late Brian Fraser.
He had also been involved with junior football in Tan Lan and was also a big Leeds United fan.
Our thoughts and sympathies go to Glyn’s family.
