A STUNNING strike by Jordan Davies and a winninng goal from Sol Forde saw the Seagulls come from a goal down to beat Connah’s Quay Nomads 2-1 in front of another home crowd of over 1,000.
It was the Bay’s first win over Nomads in the Cymru Premier and was the Deeside club’s first away defeat of the season and ended a four-match unbeaten run.
Nomads took the lead after only eight minutes with a Callum West penalty, after a foul by Eth-an Roberts, and held that lead until half-time, although Ethan Roberts, Callum Bratley and Jordan Davies all went close for the Bay.
It needed a fne save by Mark Halstead from Abbi Sharif, however, to prevent the visitors doubling their lead.
Colwyn Bay came out strongly in the second half and were level on 53 minutes with Jordan Davies hitting a tremendous shot from a tight angle into the far top corner after a strong run into the area.
Declan Poole had a shot deflected for a corner, from which Sol Forde scored the second from close range to put Colwyn Bay in front.
Jack Kenny saw a shot blocked on the line by Nomads skipper James Jones, and Bay then held out well against late Nomads pressure to take the three points which moves them into the top eight of the Novira Cymru Premier table.
