THE CLUB was saddened to learn of the death of our former matchday announcer, Phil Hartley-Williams who died on Boxing Day.
Phil had been the announcer at the 4 Crosses Arena for several seasons and although he’d stepped down ahead of this season was a regular at home games along with his wife Sue.
Phil was a former editor of the North Wales Pioneer, having worked for over forty years with North Wales Newspapers until his retirement in 2013.
Music was Phil’s passion and he had a daily show on Bayside Radio.
He had been a member of the band The Informers and more recently formed the Ukelele Party, holding the popular Sing Along Sunday at the White Lion in Llanelian.
We send our deepest sympathy to Phil’s family and friends.
